Local artists displayed their works for exhibit and for sale, entertainment was provided with music and dance, and people enjoyed a mild spring evening on Cedaredge Main Street during the inaugural 1st Friday Art Walk of the season.

The AppleShed also participated in the event where there were art exhibits taking place. Shuttles ferried people between it and the Main Street venues and some vendors set up along the sidewalks.

The Art Walks are being organized by the Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce. Turnout for the first one was light, but business at a few Main Street eateries and watering holes was boosted as people used the occasion of a two-hour-long evening outing during the dinner hour, and organizers hope the crowds will grow.

The chamber's 1st Friday Art Walk promotions will continue on the first Friday of each month through September.
