The last of Cedaredge's First Friday art walks will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Sept. 7.
But it only marks the end of the 'outdoor' season. Thanks to the Grand Mesa Arts & Events Center taking over the First Friday event, all indications are that the popular art walk will continue indoors in the center's gallery, classrooms, and theater.
Friday's theme is "Picture This" and individuals and families should come prepared to view and purchase hand-crafted items and also try their hand at creating their own works of art.
Downtown merchants will be open late as well as the arts center which continues to host the enchanting works of artist Arleta Pech.
Don't miss Kids Corner at 105 Main Street from 5 to 7 p.m. where kids of all ages can create a fun finger painting with an Impressionz Gallery artist. The gallery is also hosting the Black Canyon Camera Club artist show during September.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
