A first-year worker for Delta County Department of Health and Human Services has received a statewide award.
Stephanie Sandoval, an eligibility technician for the department, was named Employee of the Year. Her supervisor said, "She is one of our newest technicians celebrating her one year anniversary this month, and a valuable member of our eligibility unit. She was nominated for the honor by co-worker Alexis Perkins."
Sandoval was presented with a plaque designating a professional conference last month. She also received a framed certificate from the county commissioners.
