Cedaredge resident Frank David Franklin died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his home. He was 69.
He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his spouse, Garry Franklin of Cedaredge; two sons, Earl Chambers of Highlands Ranch and Stan Chambers of Denver; a brother, Lue Franklin of Grand Junction; four sisters, Sharon Lucero of Fruita, Virgie Goad of Rifle, Lewella Cross and Lurene Torney, both of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary handled the arrangements.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
