The Orchard City student of the month for December is Cedaredge High School senior Danielle Freeman, known to friends and family as Nellie.
She has compiled an impressive resume of activities and accomplishments during her career at CHS.
She has participated in volleyball, basketball and track and has earned letters for her performance.
She is named a scholar athlete and has attained success in conference, district and state competition levels.
Academically, Freeman is gifted also. She has made honor roll numerous times and in all four quarters of the year. She has been named honor student by civic organizations, and she is a member of National Honor Society.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
