People in the vicinity of Eckert Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Jan. 18, probably noticed Delta County ambulances in the parking lot of the church.
Eckert Presbyterian Women hosted a successful evening fundraiser for the Delta County Ambulance District. The women baked over 200 potatoes and provided toppings of broccoli-cheese sauce, chili, sour cream and lots of butter. A number of EMTs and over 150 hungry folks turned out for this fundraiser with donations exceeding $2,000. The funds have been presented to the ambulance district to help pay for the care they provide for our community.
Contributions are still being received, although all the potatoes have been eaten. If you would like to contribute to the ambulance district, please make your check payable to Eckert Presbyterian Women, with Delta County Ambulance District in the memo line. Mail the check to Eckert Presbyterian Women at PO Box 7, Eckert, CO 81418.
