The members of the Plant & Dig Garden Club gathered at RJ's Restaurant in Cedaredge on Dec. 16 for a Christmas luncheon and gift exchange. The staff had set up a beautiful table for the luncheon and provided another table for gifts. The food was great, the service excellent, the gift exchange full of fun and laughter. Our thanks to all at RJ's who made our celebration so special.
Our January meeting will be held on the 20th when new officers will be installed. Our members will also have an opportunity to share plans for the upcoming gardening season as well as set club goals regarding community service commitments and the scholarship fund. 2017 looks to be another stellar year for the club with outstanding programs and activities that will enhance our gardening knowledge.
In February, Kathleen Ray (our newest member and the recipient of the 2016 scholarship for the Master Gardening program sponsored by Colorado State University Extension Center in Grand Junction), will be presenting a program entitled, "Awakening the Garden Within." We look forward to learning Kathleen's methods of bringing the tranquility and beauty of our gardens into our inner selves.
The members of this club are committed to expanding our gardening knowledge, community service through projects at Pioneer Town and Horizons Care Center, and always the cultivation of friendship among our members.
We invite all who share our goals to join our club.
