Gene Magill

Gene Arnold Magill died June 30, 2016.

He was born in Sterling April 18, 1939. He attended school in Atwood and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1956. He served as an airplane mechanic and was stationed overseas in England, Africa and several other countries.

After leaving the military he started his own company erecting metal buildings. He then worked for Skyland Foods in Delta for 18 years.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marsha; his children, Damon Magill of Florida, Carol Magill of Grand Junction, Nancy (Steve) Juneau of Florida, Michael (Jewel) Magill of Westminster; and Marshon Marchand of Shreveport, La.; his brothers, Earl (Gerry), Dick (Joan) and Don (Dim) Magill; a sister, Jeanette McCarty; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorraine; and a sister, Mary Berry.

He will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery following cremation.

Memorial donations may be sent to The Denver Hospice or to a cancer research center of the donor's choice.
