Get your submission ready for the annual Harvest of Voices reading at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts in Paonia. The reading will be on Sept. 21, and entries are due by Aug. 24.
Submissions of fiction, non-fiction, essays and poetry will be accepted from anyone living on the Western Slope. Submissions will also be accepted from people who have lived or worked in the North Fork Valley previously and have a western Colorado theme. There are no limits on subject matter, but please realize this is a mixed age audience, so overtly sexual themes and profanity are not appropriate to the event.
Submissions can include one prose piece or up to three poems. Not all poems may be chosen to read. Works should be original and able to be read in six minutes or less. If your work exceeds this time limit, it will be disqualified. You will also need to be available to read the evening of Sept. 21. The program will be recorded and broadcast across the street to the Paradise Theatre. If you have any issues with this, please do not submit.
Submit entries as a pdf file attached to an email. Include your name and phone number on the entry. Do not use a pen name.
