Gladys Brandt died Saturday, July 30, 2016, at her home in Delta. She was 83.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Gladys Ellen Yandell was born in Sayre, Okla., May 29, 1933, to Benjamin and Nina (Wallace) Yandell. She spent her childhood and attended school in Carter, Okla.
On Aug. 8, 1948, she married Lyle Brandt in Wheeler, Texas. They moved to the San Luis Valley until 1964, when they moved to Granby. They moved to Cedaredge in 1986.
Mrs. Brandt enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Lyle Brandt, Sharon Brandt and Melva Brandt; two brothers, Dearl Yandell and James Yandell; a sister, Loretta Eastham; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her husband of 50 years, Lyle Brandt; a son, Eddie Brandt; two grandsons, John Heiman and Troy Voight; three sisters, Olivine Beesons, Lorene Yandell and Jean Davis; and two brothers, Lonnie Yandell and Kenneth Yandell.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
