Some details about a prospective lessee and an offer that has been made to take over management of the Cedaredge golf course restaurant were part of discussions at a trustee work session on April 14.
According to statements made by trustees and town staff during a discussion at the work session, the town has received a proposal for lease/management of the restaurant from a Colorado Springs couple. They already have a small restaurant operation there, it was stated.
The reported proposal is for a three-year term and would agree to provide similar payments to the town for rent and utilities as previous agreements with managers have promised. A Memorial Day weekend opening day is proposed.
There may also be other parties interested in leasing the restaurant, it was noted at the meeting. No offers have been presented to trustees officially at their regular meetings.
At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
