Olathe resident Grace A. Nation died July 12, 2017, at her home. She was 77.
Visitation was held July 16 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Delta. Funeral services were held July 17 and interment followed at Pea Green Cemetery.
Grace A. Lewis was born Oct. 23, 1939, to Robert and Dovie (White) Lewis in Indianapolis, Ind. She spent her childhood and attended school in Indianapolis and graduated from Beach Grove High School in 1957.
On June 27, 1958, she married Norman Nation in Indianapolis, Ind. They shared 41 years of marriage.
She belonged to the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Montrose. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Nation is survived by her mother, Dovie Lewis; a son, Norman Nation Jr.; two daughters, Debra Blackburn and Vicki Neely; a brother, Morte Lewis; a sister, Elizabeth Jacob; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband; two brothers, Bobby and Jimmy; and one great-granddaughter, Ella.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
