The Cedaredge Senior Hiking Group has been experiencing the western Colorado scenery and autumn weather in several locations recently.
The beautiful autumn weather has given the Senior Hiking Group the opportunity to enjoy the fall colors and crisp air. An outing was taken three weeks ago on the West Bench trail on Grand Mesa.
Two weeks ago, the group hiked the Curecanti Creek from Pioneer Point down to the Gunnison River. The easy part was going down.
Then, on Wednesday, Oct. 5, the group ventured over to Utah to enjoy the Fisher Towers Trail. Some of the group then stayed on to continue hiking in Island in the Sky at Canyonlands on Thursday.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
