Ida Hope Higgs of Cedaredge died Aug. 26, 2017, at her home. She was 59.
A celebration of life will be held from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at her home, 20264 Surface Creek Road, Cedaredge.
Ida Hope Reiner was born on Oct. 8, 1957, to Nicholas and Ida (Rock) Reiner in Springer, N.M. She grew up and attended school in Fruita and California.
On Nov. 16, 1974, she married Jimmy Higgs.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild, craft work, crocheting and the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Higgs of Cedaredge; four sons, Leroy (Erin) Higgs of Cedaredge, Victor Higgs of Grand Junction, Jimmy (Brenda) Higgs of Palmer, Alaska, and Jeremy Higgs of Cedaredge; five brothers, Nicholas (Carolyn) Reiner of Rose-ville, Calif., John Reiner of Grand Junction, Chester Reiner of Parachute, Byron (Linda) Reiner of Yucca, Ariz., and Rock (Laura) Reiner of Clifton; five sisters, Eva (Don) Gowin of Nampa, Idaho, Tresa Sasser of Jacksonville, Fla., Paula (Dennis) Woodland of Fruitland, Idaho, Sherry (Hans) Bochmann of Fruita and Garnet (Phil) Miller of Grand Junction; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Frank and Victor Reiner.
