Ida Maye Boushley died Feb. 7, 2017, at home in Hotchkiss. She was 89.
Graveside services were held Feb. 11 at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss. Art Wolverton officiated.
Ida Maye Hamberg was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, on Feb. 17, 1927, to Harold and Mary (Chaplin) Hamberg. She grew up there and attended school in Pelican Rapids, Minn.
On Jan. 20, 1946, she married Willard Boushley in Fergus Falls, Minn. There were married 48 years until his death May 6, 1994.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and fishing. A farmer's wife, she cooked, tended bar and worked in the nursing industry.
Mrs. Boushley is survived by her son, Richard (Sandra) Boushley of Hotchkiss; brother, Charles Hamberg of Farmington, Iowa; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Maye Boushley; a son, Laurel "Butch" Boushley; a sister, Lois Garrett; and four brothers, Glenn Hamberg, Howard Hamberg, Wayne Hamberg and Harley Hamberg.

At their March 5 meeting Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes made two appointments to the county planning commission. Steve Shea was reappointed for a three-year term.
