Sonya Hamblen, Cheryl Taylor, Nome Boyd and Jan Hinchman are members of the Women’s Relief Society from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cedaredge. They visit the Memory Unit at Horizons Care Center twice a month. The women sing the old familiar songs with residents often joining in when the tunes recall remembered lyrics.Horizons Care Center honored volunteers at a special program on Friday, April 11 — the date chosen to correspond with other volunteer organizations throughout the country during National Volunteer Week, April 6 through 12.

A small band played familiar tunes as plates of tasty treats were served.
