A number of appointments to citizen volunteer advisory boards and commissions were finalized by the Board of County Commissioners during a recent meeting.
Commissioners made three reappointments and one replacement appointment to the county airport advisory board.
John Tencer of Blake Field, Mike Wiley of the North Fork area, and at-large representative Reg Cridler all received three-year re-appointments.
The resignation of North Fork representative Anthony Zimmerman from the airport board was filled by appointment of Ron Rause to fill out the term that expires in 2016.
Les Mergelman and Bill Miller, both of Cedaredge, were reappointed to positions with the Region 10 organization headquartered in Montrose. They will represent Delta County on the organization's board of directors, and they will serve on the business loan fund board. Their terms will expire in two years.
Named to the county planning commission to fill an at-large position opening was Angela Mackey. She has served on the Delta area planning committee. One other letter of interest from a potential appointee had been received.
Bill Welch of Cedaredge and Cheryl Smith of Crawford were reappointed to four-year terms on the Delta County Libraries board of directors.
Another library board member, John Moore, representing the county at-large, has resigned. The full board will interview replacement candidates at an upcoming meeting on Feb. 17, commissioners were told. The term will expire next January.
Two members of the Delta County Tourism Cabinet were reappointed to three-year terms. They are Wilma Erven representing the City of Delta who has been serving as president, and Todd Andrew Sheets representing the North Fork area.
Bob Eckels was appointed to the Eckert Cemetery board replacing Paul Sprenkel who resigned. The term expires in 2015.
The county's Community Services Block Grant advisory committee provides input to the county's health and human services department on spending various grant monies "to relieve poverty in the county."
Re-appointed to two-year terms on the board were Nancy Hunter, Merriam Helmsing and Jo Rosenquist.
