Delta County's chief deputy clerk and recorder Teri Stephenson has announced her candidacy for the office of clerk and recorder.
She notes that her 18 years' experience in county government have given her a broad understanding of the needs of the county clerk and recorders office.
"I have the expertise to meet those needs," Stephenson said
"As chief deputy, I have gained the skills and understanding of the department's fiscal responsibility, while working closely with other county and state offices. I have mastered the requirements of the office and am aware of the challenges ahead. My knowledge of the office will allow for a seamless transition and continued outstanding customer service."
Current clerk and recorder Ann Eddins said, "I am endorsing Teri Stephenson as the next county clerk and recorder. Teri is uniquely qualified for this position after serving as the chief deputy since December, 2007.
