Application/permit requirements for building new homes
Spring has finally arrived and warmer weather is on its way. Some county residents may be considering building a new home.
The Department of Health and Human Services, Environmental Health Division would like to remind property owners of certain necessary requirements prior to proceeding with construction and development.
When considering the development of a new onsite wastewater system, for example, please be aware of the need for an application for a permit and acreage requirements. A minimum of one acre is required per dwelling.
Applications for address and access are also required. This complete application package can be obtained from the planning office in the Delta County Courthouse, 501 Palmer Street, Suite 115, Delta.
