The Delta County Commissioners and county administration on Oct. 1 held a recognition observance honoring 19 employees who have attained service milestones with the county of 10 to 35 years.
Recognized for 35 years of service were Ralph Clark, District No. 3 road foreman, and William Carpenter, equipment operator.
Recognized for 30 years of service to the county was Ken Nordstrom, environmental health director.
Four were honored for 25 years of work for the county. They were Dan Findley, road and bridge mechanic; William King, equipment operator; Barbara Pierce, deputy public trustee; and Devin Violett, equipment operator.
Attaining the 20-year mark in county employment were Chuck Lemoine, health and human services director; Karen Nittler, CSU extension executive assistant; and, Susan Smith, HHS legal technician.
Attaining their 15th year of service to county government were Patricia Sullivan, nurse manager, and Virginia "Ree" Ware, assessor's department clerk.
And, recognized for their 10th year of county employment were Daniel Abeyta, sheriff patrol deputy; Bill Bever, human services director; Shelly Caldwell, HHS legal technician; Brad Lewis, alternative sentencing program coordinator; Debi Nichols, HHS office assistant; and Katherine Taylor, HHS general management assistant.
