Bird’s eye view

Ken Gates provided this aerial view of the road improvements at the intersection of Highway 50 and 92. On the top right is the Maverik convenience store that’s under construction. The project, fully funded by Maverik, resulted in dual westbound left-turn lanes from Highway 92 onto southbound Highway 50, and access to the Maverik store. The intersection widening and traffic signal improvements were designed to make the intersection safer and reduce the store’s impact on state highway traffic.
