Christmas is for kids

Maliya Salazar, 3, and her one-year-old sister Abby (above) were delighted to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the “Breakfast With Santa” event Saturday, Dec. 8, at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. The Delta Kiwanis Club served pancakes while in the gym gently used games and toys were sold at the kids’ garage sale. New this year was a gingerbread house contest. Pictured with their entry are Mary Gregory and her two children, Kegan, 4, and Azlyn, 2. Dad Darren is working in Iraq but was able to experience the morning’s events through Skype.
