The toys were distributed to children in need just before Christmas.The Montrose Woodworkers Guild has a passion for woodworking that is matched only by a passion for sharing its knowledge and skills with needy children in the area.
The guild recently donated an incredible variety of wooden toys ranging from piggy banks to rocking horses to the Toys for Tots drive in Delta.
The toy drive was one of several charitable projects that benefited from the woodworkers' creative abilities. Like Santa's elves, they spent several months planning and constructing sturdy, unique toys for a wide range of ages, from tots to teens.
Delta member Len Johnson says toys are one of his favorite projects. Delta resident George Hatton is also a member of the woodworkers guild.
