This week's headlines

A series of slide-outs on Highway 50 north of Delta prompted the road to be closed for several hours Monday evening. The Colorado State Patrol responded to several accidents caused by icy roads and white-out conditions before asking for assistance from the Delta County Sheriff's Office and the Delta Volunteer Fire Department.

The road was closed near the Delta-Mesa county line until about 9 p.m.
