This week's headlines

Christopher Sorensen, 60, of Delta died as the result of a motorcycle accident on Highway 65 near Horizons Care Center. The accident was reported at 6:42 p.m. Saturday, March 2.

Delta County Undersheriff reports Sorensen collided into the back of a pickup driven by Willis Olson, 31, of Cedaredge.

Deputy Daniel Abeyta and Deputy Norm Dishaw and Sgt. James Lester assisted EMTs on scene with loading Sorensen into the ambulance. He later died of head injuries. Olson suffered only minor injuries. He was treated and released.
The accident was investigated by the Colorado State Patrol.
