Delta Methodists are collecting donations for Heifer International

The Delta United Methodist Church is using the Lenten season to collect offerings for the Heifer International Project. Heifer International is a nonprofit, humanitarian organization working to end hunger and poverty while caring for the earth.

Since 1944, Heifer has helped 9.2 million families in 128 countries move toward greater self-reliance by providing gifts of livestock and training in animal care and environmentally sound agriculture practices. For as little as $10, a share of rabbits or pig or sheep can be purchased. By combining Lenten offerings, the church hopes to be able to help purchase a llama or a water buffalo or a heifer.

If you would like to give to the Heifer Project you may send your donation to Delta United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 427, Delta, CO 81416 or bring it to the church at 477 Meeker Street. When you make a donation, you can offer health and hope to people in need throughout the world.
