The forensic autopsy performed on Kent Calhoun revealed the cause of death to be a single gunshot wound to his chest caused by a .44 Remington-Magnum caliber revolver. Since he apparently shot himself, the manner of death was certified as suicide.
Toxicology results are not yet available.
Calhoun was found dead in his home east of Crawford March 25 after shooting a Montrose County deputy who was responding to a domestic violence call. The deputy underwent surgery at St. Mary's Hospital and is now recovering at home.blog comments powered by Disqus
