On Wednesday, May 1, officers of the Delta Police Department arrested and jailed two adult males and issued a summons to a third juvenile male for alleged destruction of property and complicity to destruction of property.
Numerous reports of graffiti were taken April 29 and 30. Buildings located at 102 Grand Avenue and 620 Main Street were spray painted.
In the early morning hours of May 1, Officer Steve Furstenfeld, while conducting routine patrol in the city, located fresh paint on a white fence in the 600 block of Riley Lane. He subsequently contacted a suspicious male party in the area. Further investigation led to the arrest and summons of three males in connection with the cases.
Jose M. Felix, 27, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged complicity to destruction of property. Jose F. Gonzales, 18, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged destruction of property. A 17-year-old male of Delta was issued a summons for alleged destruction of property and was released to a parent. Destruction of property is a misdemeanor crime which is punishable with up to a $1,000 fine an/or one year in jail.blog comments powered by Disqus
