On Monday, July 8, at approximately 9:56 p.m. officers of the Delta Police Department responded to the area of Highway 50 and 1560 Road on a report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old male of Delta with apparent injuries to his upper torso area.
The male was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital where he was treated for "superficial" stab wounds. A second male, 35, of Delta, was located nearby with a bleeding wound on his head. He was also transported to DCMH for treatment. The injuries sustained by both men were determined "not life threatening." All individuals involved in this incident have been identified. Names are being withheld pending further investigation.
"This incident is an isolated disturbance among a group of individuals known to each other and is not a random act of violence," stated Jamie Head, DPD's public information officer. "There is no risk to public safety."blog comments powered by Disqus
