When three EMTs decide to make a difference, the sky’s the limit! Through the Delta County Ambulance District, EMTs Kade Knight, Nathan Sturchio and Sarah Kats have created a program for students interested in health care. As choosing a profession can be a challenging task, students between the ages of 16 to 21 participate in the newly created “Exploring for Life” Mentorship Program. Students are placed in a variety of medical∑-related settings where they practice social and medical skills/assessments. Four students currently participate in the program, leaving room for growth. The program runs an entire year, meeting twice a month. Students recently spent an afternoon with several residents of Crossroads Assisted and Independent Living.
