The county commissioners on Monday instructed the county attorney to file a request for stay of execution with the 7th Judicial District against the Sept. 5 district court ruling vacating county approvals for Western Slope Layers and Rocky Mountain Layers.
In addition, the county attorney was instructed to file a full appeal of the district court's ruling with the Colorado Court of Appeals.
A 14-day automatic stay of execution has been in effect since the Sept 5 ruling. That expires on Sept. 19. The county hopes to have its stay request accepted by that date.blog comments powered by Disqus
