Starting Jan. 1, the CAWS Adoption Center at 640 W. 4th Street in Delta will extend its hours of operation on Friday and Saturday to 5 p.m. For the past two years, the adoption center has been open to the public every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. but adoption center staff noticed that Friday and Saturday were their busiest days.
"Friday and Saturday are the best days to adopt an animal ... it gives folks the whole weekend to get the know their new pet," says center manager Jessica Garrett. "We also hope that the extended time will increase the number of adoptions we have at the center."
The adoption center can be reached by calling 874-1078. If there is no answer, please leave a message.
CAWS operates the adoption center under contract with the City of Delta. For more information about CAWS, visit cawsonline.org.blog comments powered by Disqus
