Proceeds from a Delta County Ambulance Service fundraiser were presented to the Delta Doves last week. Every October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, EMTs and paramedics design and wear a T-shirt that they also sell to raise funds for breast cancer prevention. Pictured above with Delta Doves Miletta Knob and Beverly Moore are ambulance personnel Lawrence Bejarano (holding this year’s T-shirt), Heather Aguayo, Charles Hufman and Denny Clishe (with last year’s T-shirt). Manager Kirby Clock and Sarah-Kate Wise also helped with the fundraiser, which generated $415 to help pay for mammograms through the Delta Doves. ”We love to keep these funds local, so the Delta Doves’ program is a perfect fit for us,” Hufman said. More information about funding for mammograms is available at the Delta County Health Department.
