The National Cooperative Forest Fire Prevention Program Committee has selected the West Region Wildfire Council (WRWC) to receive a Smokey Bear Award Certificate for their service to wildfire prevention. Their selection of WRWC for this award is based on the organization's leadership in promoting wildfire mitigation and prevention education in Community Wildfire Protection Plans across the region they serve.
