The Cedaredge FFA Chapter will celebrate National FFA Week Feb. 23-28 with activities and festivities to increase awareness about agriculture, FFA and agricultural education.
They'll kick off the week Sunday, Feb. 23, with family church from 7 to 8 p.m.
On Monday, the chapter will provide an all-school barbecue for all Cedaredge High School students and staff members.
Tuesday is Ag in the Classroom. Special projects are planned for elementary-age students.
The FFA member auction and Rocky Mountain oyster fry will take place Wednesday, Feb. 26. This is a great opportunity to help FFA members raise funds while getting some help with projects around your house, business or barnyard. The dinner of all-you-can-eat chicken and Rocky Mountain oysters will be served at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for kids. Purchase tickets from any Cedaredge FFA member or call Cedaredge High School at 856-6882.
The auction begins at 7 p.m. Members agree to an eight-hour workday.
Thursday is Teacher Appreciation Day. FFA members will prepare breakfast for the staff that morning before school. A middle school barbecue is planned at 11 a.m.
On Friday, the chapter wraps up the week with the district FFA dance.
