Last week, the gallery presented a check to Art Partners for the more than $2,000 raised during the event.

Art Partners is a unique youth mentoring program for area youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who have expressed an interest in furthering their abilities in the visual, performing or literary arts for a three-month internship. Local restaurants and individuals donated chili, while local artists and other groups made and/or painted bowls that were donated.

The chili from Big Head BBQ was voted first by those attending the event. There was a three-way tie for second place between Amelia's, Bob and Georgian Hoshide, and R & R Sports Bar.

Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who made and donated chili, to Amazing Glaze for offering the 15 percent discount to everyone painting and donating a bowl, and to all who attended the event to enjoy the great chili and good company. They made this a wonderful event, supporting an important program for youth in our community.
