More than six million young people across the country are celebrating National 4-H Week, which takes place annually during the first full week of October. National 4-H Week celebrates the great things 4-H offers young people and highlights the incredible 4-H'ers who are making a positive impact on their community.
The Delta County 4-H Achievement Awards program will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Hotchkiss High School. All families interested in 4-H are encouraged to attend.
"We are looking forward to an exciting new year of 4-H fun with all our new and returning 4-H members and leaders," said Jackie Goza, 4-H program associate. "Our tentative date to begin accepting enrollments and re-enrollments is the middle of October.
"We want to express our gratitude to all of the 4-H club leaders, project leaders, resource leaders and 4-H parents who have spent so much time making a difference in the lives of our Delta County kids," Goza said. "It may not seem like it right now, but you are critical in shaping the lives of youth and that has a huge impact on the future of our nation. We appreciate all you do and are well aware that 4-H couldn't do it without you."blog comments powered by Disqus
