Claude and Janette Springer of Delta will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 7. Friends and family are invited to join them from 2 to 4 p.m. at CB's Tavern in Delta for cake and refreshments.
Claude and Nettie were married at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Sept. 14, 1963, and have resided in Delta most of their lives. They moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1988 where they lived for 15 years while Claude worked construction and Nettie for Palm Mortuary. They retired and moved home to be with their family in 2003.
They have three children, Janeen, Slugger, Cheri and husband JR; five grandchildren, Jordy, Khyrsten, Courtney, Jaren and Jenna; and three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Antonio, and Gabriel, all of Delta. They will both tell you that they are happiest when they have all of their "babies" with them and joyfully spend countless days babysitting or running kids here and there. The Springers have endured their share of hardships over the last 50 years which makes this milestone that much more special. They have been an amazing example of everlasting love to their family.blog comments powered by Disqus
