Melinda Lenise Ferguson of Cedaredge graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing during the Union College commencement ceremonies on May 6. Union College awarded 170 degrees to 156 students.

Founded in 1891 by the Seventh-day Adventist church, Union is located on 50 acres of tree-covered property in southeast Lincoln, Neb., and is a site in the statewide arboretum system.
