a04 carricoCierra CarricoCierra Carrico, a 2010 graduate of Delta High School, has been selected to represent the United States by volunteering in South Africa next summer with International Student Volunteers (ISV), a volunteer and travel organization.

ISV is an internationally recognized organization that appoints university students from the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom to various countries around the world in an effort to impact entire communities and endangered habitats in need.

The ISV program has a strong educational component, and Carrico is looking forward to learning about the issues facing other countries and how she can help.

Carrico is looking for sponsors for the volunteer program, large and small. Anyone interested in providing financial assistance can go to www.isvolunteers.org/payments and complete the donor information form. Donations will help Carrico cover program and travel costs of approximately $6,000.
