Betty Stewart of Crawford is one of the poets featured in the January/February 2014 issue of Colorado Life Magazine, which called on poets to reflect upon Colorado's Four Corners region.
Stewart's poem "Four Corners" tracks the changes that came to the boundless land once occupied by the Ancestral Puebloan, or Anasazi, people.
"The land become territories/Then states/States with borders," Stewart writes.
Poems evoking the Colorado experience appear in each issue of Colorado Life Magazine, available on newsstands and by subscription. The statewide magazine invites readers to submit their Colorado poetry for future issues.
