Mitchell recognized for nursing excellence

Jenny Mitchell, a family nurse practitioner in Crawford, is a recipient of the prestigious American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) State Award for Excellence. She will be honored during AANP's national conference in Las Vegas June 19-23.

The State Award for Nurse Practitioner Excellence, founded in 1991, recognizes a nurse practitioner who demonstrates excellence in practice.

A resident of Crawford since 2008, Mitchell founded Needlerock Health Clinic, a non-profit organization, and recently opened a new clinic in Crawford.
