25-year employee Judy Fletcher was recently recognized for 25 years of employment at Delta County Memorial Hospital.

Abbygail Campbell, a 2013 Paonia High School graduate, has been awarded a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in agriculture and a $700 Fort Hays Bronze Academic Award to attend Fort Hays State University for the 2013-2014 academic year. Campbell is the daughter of Calvin and Tracy Campbell, Hotchkiss.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the promotion of Grand Junction resident engineer Jason Smith to West Program engineer in Region 3 (northwest Colorado, 14.5 counties). In his new position, Smith will oversee CDOT projects in the West Engineering Program Area, which includes the counties of Delta, Grand, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Jackson, Mesa, Moffat, part of Montrose, Rio Blanco and Routt.

PalmerDustin Palmer, a 2012 graduate of Delta High School, successfully completed eight weeks of basic military training at Lackland AFB in Texas. He graduated March 15.

Dustin is the son of Dennis and Justine Rowley of Delta.
