Longtime employee retires from Delta County Memorial Hospital

a05 sramek.JPGKathy Sramek, an employee of Delta County Memorial Hospital since 1983, is retiring as education/marketing/physician education coordinator for the hospital. In her most recent position, she coordinated physician education, the volunteer chaplain program, on-site business health fairs and the health fairs in Paonia, Cedaredge and Delta, in conjunction with local Lions clubs. She is the hospital liaison with the DCMH Foundation, which supports the hospital with fundraising activities, and the DCMH Volunteers, comprised of 85 active members.

Harding promoted to president of First Colorado

Chairman and CEO Stan Park announced that Brad Harding has been promoted to president of First Colorado National Bank (FCNB). In addition to assuming the president's role, Harding was also elected to the board of directors of First Colorado Financial Corporation (the bank's holding company), where he has been named board secretary.

Paonia native certified as fraud examiner

Alpine Bank would like to congratulate Sandra Legg on earning the globally preferred Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the world's most prevalent anti-fraud organization and the leading provider of anti-fraud education, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Legg recently passed a rigorous 500-question exam administered by the ACFE to achieve this designation.

O’Brien recognized for outstanding leadership

Karen O'Brien, a health education coordinator with the Delta County Department of Health & Human Services, recently received the Excellence in Public Health Education Award from the Colorado Society for Public Health Education.

The award is presented each September at the Public Health in Colorado Conference, and is awarded to a practicing health educator who has portrayed outstanding leadership in the profession and field of public health.
