Alvin Ray Edmonds of Olathe died from cardiac event on Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Montrose County. He was 59.
Mr. Edmonds was born Nov. 19, 1952, in Nebraska City, Neb., to Gilbert and Virginia Edmonds.
He married Linda on Sept. 23, 1972, in Lincoln, Neb. She survives.
Mr. Edmonds owned and operated Valley Marine Inc. for the last 19 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar and spending time with his family. He had lived in Olathe for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Olathe; a son and his wife, Dustin and Leah; a daughter and her husband, Virginia "Ginny" and Jay; four grandchildren, Hannah, Cayden, Madyson and Ranger; three brothers, Gilbert "Skeeter", Keith and his wife Connie, and Tim and his wife Laura; and two half brothers, Art and his wife Cathy, and Jim.
A memorial service was held June 2 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Delta, with Dwight Esau officiating.
