Ralph Phillip Myers of Delta County died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at his son's home in Delta. He was 93.
At his request, no services will be held.
Mr. Myers was born to Joseph and Marie (Williams) Myers on April 5, 1919, in Denver. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Denver and Durango.
Mr. Myers served with the United States Army during World War II.
On Dec. 6, 1947, he married Frances Lawton in Raton, N.M. The couple moved from Idaho Springs to Delta in 1959. They celebrated over 62 years of marriage before Frances died on Jan. 30, 2010.
Mr. Myers, a retired line truck driver, enjoyed rock work, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Phil Myers and his wife Mary Alice of Whitewater, and Ron Myers and his wife Susan of Delta; one sister, Katie Cannady of Dumont; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; two sisters; and one brother.
