Teresa A. Cooney died Sept. 18, 2012, at her home in Delta. She was 74.
Mrs. Cooney was born Aug. 31, 1938, to Elvin and Ellen Marie (Stanley) Watson in Cheyenne Wells. She spent her childhood in Denver and graduated from East High School in Denver. She also lived in Little Rock, Ark.
She married Raymond Cooney on June 21, 2008, in Denver. They moved to Delta three months ago.
She was previously married to Noel Dalbey; the marriage ended in divorce.
Mrs. Cooney was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist in Denver for 61 years, a Visiting Nurses Association volunteer and a member of the Young Stroke Survivors Club.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Cooney of Delta; a son, Doug Dalbey of Cañon City; a daughter, Carla Schwartzkopf of Aurora; and two granddaughters, Crystal and Bailey Schwartzkopf of Aurora.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Church United Methodist in Denver.
Arrangements are being handled by Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
