Albert Lee Conatser (Bigin) of Delta died October 13, 2012. He was 86.
He was born on June 13, 1926, in Dumas, Texas, and spent his childhood in Cuba, N.M., before returning to Texas and then serving in the Navy for two years during World War II. He spent the last 42 years of his life in Colorado where he worked for Coors Brewing Company and raised, trained and rode his horses with his family and friends.
Mr. Conatser is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; three daughters, Rosetta Menapace and her husband Frank of New Mexico, Vicki Hinchman and her husband Mickey of Cedaredge, and Barbara McDonald and her husband Harry of Montrose; one son, Robert Conatser and his wife Janet of Golden; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life and potluck will be held at the Pea Green Community Center (corner of Banner Road and Highway 348) on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
