Richard "Dick" Lee Ashby Jr. died Nov. 1, 2012. He was 74.
Mr. Ashby was born Aug. 19, 1938, to Richard and Annie (Phillips) Ashby Sr. in Delta. He grew up in Delta.
He enjoyed fishing, working on old cars and trading them for other items, cooking and leather working.
Services will take place in May 2013. His cremains will be buried in the Olathe Cemetery.
Mr. Ashby is survived by his former wife, Fay Forsythe; children, Victoria Larsen of Idaho, Jason Ashby of New Mexico, Jeannie Palmer of Oklahoma and Lynn Low of New Mexico; grandchildren, Dawn Bakken of Oregon, Sarah and Samantha Low of New Mexico, Pete Goodnight of Oklahoma, Jonathan Hazlewood of Oklahoma; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Allen Ashby of Nevada; half sister, Judy; cousins, Peggy Drost of California, Harley Wyatt, Lloyd Armour and Floyd Armour, all of Colorado; and many other relatives.
