Byron Holveck December 5, 2012

a08 holveckFormer Delta resident Byron Lee Holveck died Nov. 25, 2012, at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was 40.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
Mr. Holveck was born to Stanley and Shirley (Dawson) Holveck on Sept. 29, 1972, in York, Neb. He spent his childhood in York, Neb., and Delta. He graduated from Delta High School in 1990.

He worked at a cabinet shop. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, football and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Earl. He lived in Phoenix, Ariz., for several years before moving to Marion, Ohio, where he lived until his death. He was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mr. Holveck is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Dan Wallace of Delta; three sons, Caleb Cooley of Florida, Ryan Cooley and his wife Krystal of Colorado Springs, and Justin Cooley of Montrose; two brothers, Stan Holveck of Denver, and Tom Holveck and his wife Karis of Montrose; two nephews, Donovan and Louie Holveck; his grandmother, Betty Dawson of Cory; two grandchildren, Joey and Aiden Cooley; friend Heather Night-wine and her daughter Haiden; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Jean Holveck; his father, Stanley Holveck; his grandfathers, Elvis Dawson and Tom Holveck; and his grandmother, Betty Carver.

Arrangements are being handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
